Russ Bader

Russ Bader is Vice President of Software Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance for FSR Electronics.

His Story

Russ served as a key contributor, technical lead, and project manager on a large medical device development program for a blood glucose meter, which allows patients to discretely monitor their metabolic status and wirelessly control an insulin delivery pump.

 

Russ has also worked on software development for a laser atherectomy catheter medical device, various laboratory devices, writing requirements and test procedures/plans as well as project managing software development for various aviation in flight entertainment and connectivity devices and an aqueous ozone based hand sanitizer device.

 

Russ has over 21 years of experience in software engineering for complex consumer electronic handheld and mobile/cellular devices mostly in application/user interface software strategy, requirements, architecture, design, and development. Additionally, Russ has over 11 years of software engineering management experience and over 16 years of software project management experience with extensive global, multi-disciplinary, and third-party vendor coordination.

 

Russ is also a Project Management Institute (PMI) member, certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB). Russ held various positions of increasing responsibility from software engineer to software engineering manager at Motorola in mobile device development. Russ was a key contributor to the Motorola Q which was the first thin QWERTY landscape Windows Mobile Smartphone device and the quickest Windows Mobile device to sell greater than 1 million units.

 

Finally, he was also an instrumental contributor to the next generation line of Motorola Windows Mobile products and their innovative user experiences. Russ earlier developed application software for traditional low, mid, and high tier mobile devices including the RAZR V3 and many others.
